foodie post: army navy

k had been hankering for man v. food-like burgers for several days now so i suggested we eat at army navy.

we came for the bully boy burger. :) they describe it as a Triple quarter-pound natural beef patties, topped with fresh crispy lettuce, tomato slice & onions, mayo & ketchup on toasted sesame seed kaiser bun. (Made Big to Beef up a Battalion)

our order: cheese quesadillas, fries, onion rings.

i tried it and it was good! 

let's just say he finished this way before ate a and i finished our split sandwich. :D

my order: starving sailor sandwich - Thinly sliced Rib Eye Steak or Chicken topped with Jalapeño-cheese spread, green bell peppers and caramelized onions in an 8-inch Sourdough bread

we headed next door (shakey's)  for some playing time. here they are trying to race cars. 

miss k can't help pushing the knobs, buttons, and grabbing the steering wheel

k also shot some hoops before we crossed the road to goldilock's for halo-halo. :) miss k enjoyed her sugar-free mamon a whole lot!!! :)

foodie post: magnolia flavor house

we like going to robinson's magnolia lately because of 1) gymboree, and 2) the spacious mall areas (not all shops are open, and there are no stalls all over just yet!), and 3) there are not so many people 

i've never been here when it was still part of the magnolia plant, but k remembers his parents taking here for ice cream way back.

 we loved the bright colors of the interiors, malamig sa mata.

miss k can't wait to order! :)

daddy k's order - pork spareribs.

mine - oriental chicken salad (na-weirdan ako sa togue though).

koren beef stew. the servings were good for one (except for the salad which can serve 2) but we shared everything kasi we still intend to eat inside the mall heehee

k invented this CHEERS! thing with kirsten before drinking her water. she loves it! :)

i refused to wear something red that day, ano kami kakanta hahaha!

this chair was comfy but kirsten refused to sit in it.

she'd rather shuffle the magazines (among other things) on the table haha!

the banana split finally arrived!

food was OK lang, they need to add more variety to their menu. service was a bit slow but the staff were very accommodating naman. you have to come here at least once, then explore the restos inside the mall for your next visits. :)

after this meal, we proceeded to gymboree to burn some calories. we have discovered gong cha's wintermelon tea and can't get enough! ;)
