book launch: real home ideas 5: small space solutions

i got to attend the launch of real home ideas 5: small space solutions just this afternoon at the SM megamall atrium. you see, i love condos (spent 6 years living in one, and finally i got to buy my own unit which is scheduled for viewing this august!). if it were up to me (i'm already married so it no longer works that way heehee), i'd still be living in a shoebox, errr condo. ;)

there were raffle prizes during the program, and most attendees (moi included) got a loot bag.


i can't wait to find inspiration from book 5 to furnish and decorate my own condo! do grab a copy, it's available at various newsstands, bookstores, and Our Home branches for only php195. :)

GLEE it is for charice pempengco!

i know you've heard this before. and charice herself shot the news down on twitter sometime may this year. but this time, it has been signed, sealed and delivered! michael ausiello and andy patrick of entertainment weekly has confirmed that she's joining the cast of GLEE as a foreign exchange student.

we know she can sing, but can she act? here's crossing our fingers, praying and hoping she will do us proud (again)! :)

good burgers ain't so bad

k and i have agreed to try every food establishment near our place. we're in the middle of a commercial area and that means good eats all around!

one friday night, we chanced upon the three sisters resto but since we both wanted a "light" dinner, we opted for the good burger stall next to it.

it's like your typical tapsilog joint, a small space for cooking and the sidewalk for chairs and tables. but the burgers? delish. :)

i had the margherita burger with roasted tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese and cheese sauce (better). potato wedges too. k had the blt (bacon, lettuce and tomato) burger (best, 2 patties). we opted for the chicken patties (you can choose vegetarian) and they were good. juicy, full of flavor. burger prices range from 90-115 pesos.

the only thing i didn't like about the location was it was right beside the three sisters' barbeque grill. usok much! but since we live just around the corner, next time i'll get it to go. :)

i just can't get enough!



ate it (almost) everyday in singapore. now searching for the next best thing in manila.

we tried the one in orchard road, megamall. no good.

chuvaness raves about chef stevie's hainanese chicken. will have to check it out (pa-order) soon!
