kapitolyo foodie post: cha dao

i like cha dao better than cha time.
i find the milk teas milkier. yummier. :)
but of course, k does not agree. that's why he makes libre in cha time, i make libre here. fair enough? :)

kapitolyo wellness post: regent spa

k and i needed a massage after that trip to la union so we headed to regent spa on the second floor of ace water spa.
the nice ladies at the reception area.
they had this mini bar where you can get water, iced tea, or their delish hot tea.
the waiting area
i like the comfy feel of the place. even the ladies' toilet was nice.
the dimly lit hallway leading to the rooms.
we asked for a couples room and we got it. this is our room. my guess it that the presence of the tassle means the room is occupied.
the massage beds were not really beds, they were like lazy boys that can be converted into massage beds. they were very comfortable.
we were provided with an electric key bracelet for the cabinet where we can keep our things.
two ladies who massaged us satisfied our need to be stretched, pounded and kneaded heehee we both enjoyed our 75min massage, though k wanted a bit more pressure from his masseuse. will we come back? definitely. :)

office outing in anilao, batangas

yup, humabol pa kami sa summer! and it was sunny on those 2 days we were there! :)
as usual, kirsten slept in the bus haha! like 3/4 of the time! and since daddy k had lectures that same weekend, i brough auntie l and yaya a with us.
we hit the pool in the late afternoon that saturday. miss k didn't want to stay in the water at first but eventually enjoyed the splish splash!
i also tried the 9-feet reef pool where we swam with the baby sharks, puffer fish, and some lapu-lapu.
the next day, we hit the pool early. she wasn't in a mood though so we stayed for a short time and went back to the room where she napped.
our baby's growing fast! just look at her!
eventhough we didn't get to join the group for some snorkeling and beach time at sepoc island, we enjoyed staying in the room and kiddie pool. the food was good, too! :)

our first trip to la union, june 2012

one independence day weekend, we joined k in la union while he had a lecture there. of course, kirsten had to come! and yaya a, too! k and his staff j went ahead by bus, and we took the car with driver d the next day. boy, la union was indeed for surfing!
we stayed at the sebay resort. it had small rooms but they were clean and functional. and seconds away from the beach! look who enjoyed the water the most!
we also got to drive to thunderbird resort in poro point.
of course, we enjoyed the food! we always do!
on the way home, we had late lunch at isdaan (food was good but pricey!). the place was huge!
this trip was a blast, and kirsten behaved really well. she slept most of the time during travel time. :) til our next adventure!

office outing to anilao, june 2012

yep, we went too! :)

la union, june 2012

yes, we went! kwento to follow. :)

kindermusik baby

i made my research about play schools in the metro, and it was actually a choice between 2 popular baby group classes: gymboree and kindermusik. gymboree was a lot more accessible (they are located in malls) but after consulting my online groups, most agree that kindermusik had a better curriculum. honestly, they all sounded the same to me! the babies play, listen to music, etc. but yes, we enrolled her in kindermusik by teacher jeannie and company. and boy, we love it!
kirsten was observing everything around her during our first class. she would also follow the blown bubbles and try to catch them. she played with the drum and shakers too! very good, sweetheart!
during the second class, she was more interactive and kept smiling/babbling to the mommies and yayas! her eyes were following the other kids too!
the third class was when she was most interactive! i am so proud of her!
i love the class too, since the teachers are really nice and they involve kirsten in the activities. not to mention that the songs are really upbeat (i listen to the cd even alone in the car!) and pleasing to baby ears! :) we look forward to attending the next classes (we enrolled for the village class busy days which will run for 6 sessions)! though i bought a gymboree voucher from deal grocer so we can try that one out too! :)

kapitolyo foodie post: mad mark's

we never run out of places to eat in our neighborhood. :) one night, we decided to try this sandwich place next to thai dara.
amazingly, with such a small area (you can park one car in front of it), this little resto is never vacant whenever we pass by it. as usual, we ordered way too much. the sandwich was OK, the pasta a little weird-tasting, the fries good but oily. the chicken was ok lang.
the menu.
what i liked? the ice cream haha! they had really yummy homemade ice cream (Php68 for 1 scoop, P98 for 2 scoops). i love the madagascar vanilla, half baked madagascar, and the cavendish one (not in one sitting, of course! i have come here twice before to take out some ice cream).
try it once, and see/taste for yourself. :) mad mark's 23 east capitol drive barangay kapitolyo pasig city FB page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/MAD-Marks-Restaurant/184066395012873

:)

kirsten's 10th month birthday

on her 10th month birthday, we went to visit my french boss at their home in makati city. here's the little one playing at home just before we left. here are the kiddos in action haha! louise is our boss's daughter; alec is my colleague g's son. we love louise's eyes! gorgeous! me and g with the cuties. she likes the ball! the yayas who have the same first names heehee that's the pool. they didn't get to stay outside for a long time since there were mosquitoes abound. our simple decorations at home. i prepared roast chicken, mac and cheese, and baked a cake! happy 10 months of God's love, protection and guidance! we love you, little K! :)
