congenital anomaly scan at 25 weeks

last saturday, i underwent the congenital anomaly scan (CAS) as advised by our OB. k had a class so my sister and househelp accompanied me to the clinic.

as explained by dr. A, CAS is a detailed scan to check if our baby is developing normally. it was nervewracking really, as i didn't want to hear any bad news during the scan. too many what-ifs are circling in my head. night after night, i would always pray that our baby is safe, healthy, and normal. please please please let everything be normal.

as usual, the OB/sonologist who was doing the scan was late (an hour's wait!). what's it with doctors keeping patients waiting all the time?? i've never had a doctor's appointment where the doctor was on time!

anyhow, she made up for it naman as she was very pleasant during the entire scan. she explained every body part she was checking and showed me the screen while she was doing her observations (these are the toes, and they are complete 1-2-3-4-5). so glad to see that all our baby's body parts are normal and complete (whew)! but she also cautioned that i should still be more careful as i have 3 months more to go and an infection caught anytime may affect the baby. at may balak pa akong manood ng sine this week (wag na lang!)!

it's very reassuring to know that baby kr is developing well inside my belly. we have 2.5 months to go, baby dear! lapit na! :)
