it was like an oasis in the middle of the tall skycrapers of makati.
i couldn't get over how green it was!
kirsten kept looking at the trees. in roxas, she loved looking at the swaying branches. we should bring her here more often. :)
there was a row of restaurants there, too bad wee nam kee was still closed! i've been hankering for authentic hainanese chicken for the longest time!
we settled for banapple, had coffee there. walang decaf nga lang!
k and i checked out bfast next door. i wanted to have lunch at wee nam kee, but bfast had a tv and donaire's fight was about to start. it was hard to convince k to transfer somewhere else. :P
food was OK lang, parang cafeteria nga e. the plates and drinking cups were reusable. i think we paid php288/person for the lunch buffet.
the food items i liked:
chocolate cupcake and pannacotta suman
mini halo-halo (we had the same from casa filipino)
yun lang. the food menu was not impressive. the pork humba was swimming in its sauce. the angus tapa was tough. the sinigang was like nilaga, no veggies (i ate a slice of tomato) and puro sabaw. it lacked the sour punch too. the veggies (baguio beans, i think!) were overcooked and swimming in soy sauce. the chicken a la king was chicken in white sauce, no veggies! tasty but lacking. i could go on and on. sana nag-wee nam kee na lang kami *hikbi*
i should have tried the desserts selection, they looked promising.
at least somebody was happy. :)
well, she's happy most of the time. :)
he was content with the fight and his san mig (donaire won, btw).
the best thing about bfast? this:
we were really happy with the park and thinking about going there every other weekend (we'll try another park in between heehee). we'll try the restos (here's the list).
we can tell that kirsten enjoyed this little adventure and went home happy. that's what really counts! :)
