madayaw! :)
yes, we're in davao!
k and i found ourselves in this big city in the south (both our first times), and eagerly planned our itinerary around his hearing schedule. davao, here we come! :)
at the airport
first stop was the davao crocodile park.
a park staff asked k if he wanted to feed these guys for php30, it think.
i'd rather have my picture taken, thank you.
croc sisig, anyone? i'll pass. :)
i swear this is the closest i am willing to get near a croc. egads!
k, too. aren't we brave souls or what?
this photo was originally us sitting down with a croc behind us (them inside the fence, of course!). the thing is, while the park staff was adjusting the camera's zoom function, i looked back and saw this big croc walking towards us. gawd! it scared the hell out of me! that's why we are standing in this photo (i repeat, i don't care if there is a fence! no way i'm sitting a few inches away from a pregnant croc!). smart, eh? :)
next stop was the Shrine of the Holy Infant Jesus of Prague, located in the hills of matina overlooking the city.
near the shrine is jack's ridge, a popular resto/bar with an amazing overlooking view of davao city.
we also went to lola abon's for pasalubong shopping.
of course, who would want to miss going to baywalk to see a replica of david (and have fun capturing these shots heehee).
a visit to davao wouldn't be complete without having some fresh tuna. off to luz kinilaw we went. yum-o!
and we were off to pearl farm the next day. watch out for my post on that trip! :)
