from the pearl farm website: nestled on the quiet side of samal island, the pearl farm beach resort is a mere 45-minute boat ride from the wharf. this fourteen (14) hectare spread was once a pearl farm, where thousands of white-lipped oysters transported from the Sulu Sea, were cultivated for their pink, white and gold pearls.
we took the day tour package (php1,400/pax for weekdays) and left the city for samal island a little past 8am. staff were friendly and the lunch at nearby malipano island (their maranao resto was undergoing renovations) was sumptuous. we'll definitely be back! :)
