a kirsten-full tagaytay weekend, part 1

two weekends ago, k planned for us to go up to tagaytay to unwind and escape from the summer heat. he also wanted to make up for being out during weekends (he goes out of town for lectures kasi) but i always tell him there's no need to. i actually made the hotel bookings on friday (i usually book way in advance) kasi nga i thought we don't really need to go out, but he insisted. so off we go! :) first stop was hotel kimberly. i read some nice reviews online so i made a pencil booking. it was located in the middle of some subdivisions, not along the major highway as we are used to. the place was nice but a little too far from the restos! paano pag nagutom kami at ayaw namin sa hotel food walang choice?? we know our priorities haha! but k said if i wanted to stay there, then let's! i liked the playground, so we tried to check in but the hotel staff said the room ws still unavailable until about 2pm (we arrived past 12nn). so we said we'll just come back. but before leaving, we took some photos at their nice lobby. actually, i had a feeling di na kami babalik so sabi ko photo ops muna. :)

we headed for summit ridge hotel, where i also had a booking. this hotel is located on the main highway, had a supermarket, bazaar, and several restos around it (think starbucks, razon's, rai rai ken, etc.). kaya madaming tao! and the rooms had views of taal lake. what more can we ask for?? and though they said we can check in at 2pm, when we inquired at the front desk, they checked us in without a hassle. the staff were very friendly and accommodating, too. when we got to the room, k refused to leave na. magpadeliver na lang daw ako sa mcdo or bumili na lang ako ng food sa baba hahaha! hay naku, at home na agad ang mag-ama ko. :)

so i did! i went down to check out the super and restos while i called mcdo delivery. bought some supplies, cornetto ice cream (walang magnum ) and extra fried rice too haha! look at her "reading" the hotel brochure heehee

gutom na kami!

bummers - mcdo arrived a bit late (k was very hungry na!) and the personal ref inside the room had no freezer. tunaw ang ice cream namin hehe part 2 is next! :)
