celebrating the fab 40!

my girlfriends and i always, ALWAYS try to celebrate milestones. and this time, judge g invited us to celebrate her fab 40!

here's the birthday girl, looking and feeling fabulous!

i say she's not 40, just eighteen with 22 years experience.  :)

we met at borough in podium and i was the first one who arrived and was quite hungry so i ordered hummus.

the girls arrived and we ordered cocktails (buy 1, take 1 til 8pm, i think!)

trick or treat 2012

our second halloween activity! we had the grandest time! :)

a FAB-ulous babywearing meet!

did you know that october is international babywearing month? :)

and to celebrate, the FAB (filipino association of babywearers) team organized its first official (and last) event for the year which was a babywearing (of course!) gathering last 20 ocotober 2012 at renaissance tower 3 (i attended my first babywearing meet last april 2012).

the event started at 1:30 pm but we were late as kirsten was still having her nap by that time. ;)

we got there past 2pm and jenny was in the middle of her talk on carriers.

fellow n@wie clarice of tickled moms did a presentation on their products.

there were lots of babywearing moms and dads in attendance! :)

different baby carrier brands had displays and demos around the venue. 

i caught jenny demonstrating the proper way to wear a ring sling.

and eliza of the painter's wife held a sample gymboree music class (sayang at tulog si kirsten during this part of the program, she would have loved chasing after the bubbles!).

and may i say that eli was very engaging as a teacher? i'm not aware that she's doing this professionally, but if not, she should! her voice is very soothing, too!

i didn't win anything in the raffle but was able to take home goodies from mommy treats. :)

and the best part of this event? i met my college friend, louie, hubby jordan and baby gavin!

here we were, 13 years after college, with babies!

i remember that louie celebrated her 21st birthday in mcdo. heehee 

our mantra? HANDS-FREE! :)

miss k visits mama's office

last satruday, i brought kirsten to our medical clinic for a chicken pox (varicella) shot. we were not able to register ate a in the visitors' list so she had to wait for us in the lobby.

no photos of the actual immunization as i couldn't hold a camera and a very active baby at the same time. but kirsten was such a brave little baby, she cried only during the shot and she was OK by the time we exited the clinic. :)

and then we went to my office to check my email.

she especially loved the copy room! had to (almost) drag her cute butt out of there.

i laid out interesting things for her to make kalikot.

she likes this squatting position a lot! even at home, she refuses to sit on the floor.

she got bored quickly so i let her watch her favorite disney junior show - doc mcstuffins,

pororo,

and world world! :)

i think she was getting a bit tired, as i saw her rest her chin on the table.

too cute! :)

i brought her to a babywearing event that afternoon, but she slept most of the time heehee that post is next! :)
