our laoag-vigan-pagudpud adventure part 1

i have been dreaming of this trip since i was single. :) and now that we have a not-so-fragile baby in our company, we finally made the flight booking and off we went!

since we got an evening flight, we arrived Laoag after dinner time. we hired a van with driver for the duration of this trip as laoag is in between vigan and pagudpud, hence we can travel back and forth. our driver, arnel, was very good all throughout the trip! highly recommended! call/text him 09053797499 or 09996785645.

we opted not to go out anymore for dinner so we took out food from a jollibee drive thru store before proceeding to the Laoag Renzo Hotel. it was a nice hotel within the city, and a tricycle ride away from the establishments. our package included overnight accommodations and buffet breakfast for 2 (this hotel had a bakery next door and we had our brekkie there turo-turo style. OK lang, vigan longganisa solved na kami hehe)

the next day after breakfast, arnel picked us up and we proceeded to our tour: cape bojeador, bangui windmills, patapat viaduct, refmad dragonfruit garden and bacarra church. i tell ya, this ilocos trip is an absolute must do! :)

that night, we had a nice dinner at saramsam cafe where we had bagnet, poque poque, and 1 more dish (i cannot remember the name!). the food was really good!

next day, we went to malacanang of the north, paoay church, and the marcos museum.

we checked into grandpa's inn in vigan and had lunch at their uno grille. sarap! :)

after our afternoon nap, we headed to baluarte and hidden garden where we had the yummiest empanada of the entire trip!

we walked along calle crisologo that night,

and had dinner at grandpa's inn's felicitas resto

 where kirsten had a fit.

a laughing fit, that is.

part 2 of this fun, fun trip is up next! :)
